These three, easy lace patterns will make a whole wardrobe of scarves. Pattern stitches are reversible so your scarf will have no wrong side.
Yardage and needle size are noted in the instructions for each scarf shown. The yardage is approximate for a 55" to 60" (140 to 153 cm) scarf (or 30" (76 cm) for the narrow version of style #1).
The full sized scarves range in width from 5" to 7" (13 to 18 cm).
Narrow version of style #1 in fingering wt cotton is 3" (8 cm) wide.
While light weight yarns were used for the scarves shown, the patterns would work equally well in a heavier yarn for a winter muffler. Using different yarns may change the yardage needed.
Suggested Naturally Yarns: Mist, Stella, Dawn, or for a heavier weight scarf, an 8-ply yarn such as Me or Merino et soie. |
