As the name implies, these Stalwart Socks are designed to be extra strong and robust. A linen/merino blend yarn is recommended--the linen for strength and sturdy wearability; the merino for wearable cushioned softness.
These socks have added features for wearing comfort by conforming to the shape of the ankle and toes. The handsome textured knit/purl diagonal block stitch pattern transitions into ribbing at back of leg for an ankle-hugging fit and the toes have left and right shaping.
Sized for women and men. Foot length is easily adjustable as indicated in the instructions.
Use approximately 325 (400) yards of sport weight yarn and size 2 (2.75 mm) needles (or size to obtain gauge of 7 stitches/inch).
