Queen Ann's Lace Poetic Shawls - Snowy Evening Knitting Pattern

Poetry in lace.

This shawl is based on the Robert Frost poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening". Very simple stitches combine to show the falling snow, the barren woods and the windswept drifts. The shawl is finished with 31 tiny bells.

Shown in white "Snowy" is worked from the top down and measures 74" x 35" (188 x 90cm).

Tension is 5 sts to 1" on 3.5mm (US4) needles.

This shawl is a delight to knit, exquisite to wear and a conversation piece as well. Intermediate.

Yarn requirements: Approximately 1260 yds of lace weight yarn
