These reversible scarves or cowl knit up in a soft, thermal fabric, giving you the extra warmth when the weather turns cold.
Yarn Requirements:
Scarves:
Approximately 300 yds (275 meters) of a DK wt yarn; 400 yards (365) of worsted weight.
Cowl:
Approximately 110 yds (101) meters of a DK weight yarn.
Cowl in photo is (blue) DK weight yarn (196) yards.
Finished size = 5 x 201/2 inches (12.5 x 52cm).
Needles:
For DK, US 5 and 8 (3.75 mm and 5 mm); straight for scarf and 16 inches/40cm long circular for scarf.
Notions: stitch marker for cowl.
Gauge:
In DK, measured over pattern: 27 sts & 32 rows = 4 inches (10cm)
In worsted, measured over pattern: 20 sts & 26 rows= 4 inches (10cm).
