A versatile, quick-to-knit hat in three sizes and three yarn weights. Brim can roll up or down for a snug, warm fit. A great way to strut your school (or favorite) colors! Everyone in the family will want one.
Sizes: Small, 20" (51 cm); medium, 22" (56 cm); and large. 23" (58.5 cm).
Finished depth, with bottom rolled up: 7" (7", 8") (18 (19, 20) cm)
Directions are given for making each of the three sizes in three weights of yarn.
Yarn Requirements:
Sport weight: Small 180 yds (165m), Medium 195 yds (178m), Large 210 yds (192m).
Worsted weight: Small 150 yds (137m), Medium 165 yds (151m), Large 180 yds (165m).
Bulky weight: Small 125 yds (114m), Medium 140 yds (128m), Large 155 yds (142m).
Note: When making hats in two contrasting colors as shown in the photo above, two thirds of the yardage will be needed for the main color (MC) and one third for the contrasting color (CC).
Suggested Yarns: Choose any 8ply (for sport weight), any 10ply (for worsted weight), or any 14ply (for bulky weight)
